Forensic and Investigative Hypnosis
Written and Presented by Rob Kelly FIAPH

A two-day certificated course for professionals dealing with traumatic memory.

Overview:
This course has been designed for hypnotherapists and other professionals, to equip them with the necessary insights, understanding and techniques, in order to practice a very specialised form of hypnotherapy known as: Forensic and Investigative Hypnosis. The techniques taught on this course are ideal for helping people who have:

(a) experienced some form of traumatic incident(s) and are struggling to process it, or are suffering in some way as a consequence of it

(b) experienced some form of traumatic incident(s), and have poor memory recall (or none at all) about the experience(s)

(c) experienced some form of traumatic incident(s), have poor memory recall (or none at all) about the experience(s) and where the information gathered about the experience(s) may be used in Civil or Criminal legal proceedings

The foundations of this course are based around three main disciplines:
(1) Investigative and Analytical Hypnotherapy Techniques
(2) Critical Incident Debriefing
(3) Enhanced Cognitive Interviewing

This course will teach many practical skills, but will also review all the pertinent research and studies.

Investigative and analytical hypnotherapy techniques :
Simple and easy to use techniques that will enable your clients to gently and safely recall experiences, whilst processing and resolving the attached emotional conflicts. This part of the course pays particular attention to current research around the subject of False Memory Syndrome

Critical Incident Debriefing:
CID is about having a structured 'therapeutic interview' where a person is able to recall and process a traumatically-stressful experience, in a calm, safe and empowering way. CID is being used more and more to help people overcome the effects of traumas such as: road traffic accidents, sudden deaths, post traumatic stress disorder and violent and sexual crime.
A person who has suffered a major trauma doesn't necessarily need 'therapy' in the usual sense of the word - they just need to be able to process and move on from the experience.

Cognitive Interviewing:
The 'Cognitive Interview' (or 'Enhanced Cognitive Interview) is what has slowly been replacing the more familiar 'interrogations' that the majority of Police Forces around the world have been using for the last hundred years or so. The basis of the Cognitive Interview, is a structured, 'friendly' interview, where rapport-building and memory-enhancing techniques are used in order to gain maximum useful information from the client/subject/witness.

Rob Kelly is able to bring a totally unique, and insightful approach to the use of Forensic Hypnosis, because of his extensive experience of using Pure Hypnoanalysis. Over 20 years, as a full time hypnotherapist and psychotherapist, he has helped 'retrieve' information from THOUSANDS of people, and has been able to refine and develop his techniques during this time.

Some of the areas covered during the two-day course include:

  • How memories of traumatic events are processed
  • Why do people repress/dissociate traumatic experiences
  • Different memory-enhancing techniques
  • Real case-studies
  • Research findings around the subject of 'False Memory Syndrome'
  • How to gather evidence that is admissible in a court of law and the legal aspects of Forensic Hypnosis in the UK.
  • Legal issues surrounding 'recovered memory'
  • Techniques to enhance hypnoanalysis or Pure Hypnoanalysis
  • How to help a person remember and recover from a traumatic incident
  • A comprehensive review of all the guidelines laid down by: The Crown Prosecution Service, 'Judges Rules', The British Hypnotism Act (1952), Police and Criminal Evidence act, Home Office Guidelines, and the British Psychological Society

All the information and techniques presented during this course are fully supported by research findings - including the IAPH's own recent research project into recovered memory

About the course writer/presenter:
Rob Kelly FIAPH has been in full-time practice as a clinical hypnotherapist and psychotherapist for 20 years, and has developed a number of empowering techniques around the subjects of smoking cessation, limiting belief systems, recovered memory and sexual abuse. Rob has developed a very specialised form of analytical hypnotherapy known as Pure Hypnoanalysis.

Over the last 20 years he has helped thousands of people to recover repressed memories and experiences that were causing conflict - allowing these people to resolve the symptoms and anxieties caused by these memories, and many of these experiences have later led to prosecutions. On many occasions Rob has provided assistance to the Police, Social Services, victims and perpetrators of crime and many professionals within the medical and healthcare sectors.

Some examples of where Rob's Forensicc techniques have been successfully employed include: numerous rape and sexual assault cases, many childhood sexual abuse cases, and a couple of well-known murder enquiries

Due to the advanced nature of this course, it is only open to those professionals who already posess a qualification in either psychology, hypnotherapy or psychotherapy, or current IAPH Students.

This course is accredited with 16 hours of CPD (continuing Professional Development) and attendees will receive a certificate of attendance, and a complete set of course notes.

Body Language, and
Non-Verbal Communication
for Professionals

Written and presented by Rob Kelly FIAPH

A two-day residential training course, about 'leakage' - the REAL thoughts, feelings and desires that our body language gives away,
despite our best efforts to keep them hidden!

This course is mainly based upon the scientific research of Professor Paul Ekman (the man behind the hit TV series 'Lie to me') but also the works of: Peter Collett, Aldert Vrij, Joe Navarro (FBI) and members of UK Police and Special Forces.

Some of the topics that will be covered include:

  • Detecting lies and deceit
  • Recognising 'tells' and 'leakage'
  • Understand what a person is really thinking and feeling
  • Recognise emotions from different facial expressions
  • What do our common gestures mean
  • How to use body language to build rapport and trust
  • How to 'read' a person from their NVC (non-verbal communication)
  • Effectively interpreting negative of hostile body language
  • Why and how people tell lies
  • The unconscious processes behind lies
  • Micro Expressions
  • Body language and self-awareness
  • Detecting lies and deceit in relationships
  • Common misconceptions about body language
  • Countermeasures to being detected, whilst lying
  • FACS (The facial action coding system)
  • Helping someone despite their best efforts to conceal things from you
  • Detecting deceit over the telephone
  • People who can lie, and people who can't
  • A sociological perspective on lying
  • Using body language to enahance your verbal communication
  • Recognising unconscious signs of sexual attraction
  • Making people feel comfortable using NVC

The course is ideally suited to: therapists, Doctors, Police Officers, Probation Officers, Social Workers, District Nurses, Benefit Officers, Insurance claim-handling officers, and anyone else who works with people where it is really important to know the truth.

If normal verbal communcation conveys information, then non-verbal communication conveys our emotional state - what we FEEL about what we are saying or doing. Therefore our non-verbal communication conveys the truth.

This course will be presented in an informal and fun manner, and there will be lots of opportunity to practise the various techniques and skills. Though informal, the course has been written around the very latest psycholoical research findings.

Bed and Breakfast is available at the hotel for just £35 per person, per night. Refreshments and lunch will be provided on both days.

A certifcate of attendence, and a very in-depth course manual will be provided for all delegates.

'Changing Limiting Belief Systems'

A two-day Certificated course in 'The Rob Kelly Technique'TM

NEW DATES: Sat 11th and Sun 12 July 2009 - in Dublin

Everyone  experiences limiting beliefs at some time in their life, whether they simply have a little self-doubt, self-esteem issues, have frequent complaints or  illnesses, or suffer from full-blown ME or PVFS - this course will empower  YOU to help them change their lives, completely.

On this advanced  two-day course, you will learn ‘The Rob Kelly Technique TM’ - which is an incredibly powerful system of training people to identify and change  their limiting beliefs, and take back control of their lives.

Question : What DID a clinically  depressed GP, an ME sufferer, an obsessional social-phobic, a child with leukemia, a  cigarette smoker, someone with an obsessive personality, and a sufferer of a major  neurological illness have in common?

Answer : They all HAD  limiting beliefs that were preventing them from regaining their health, and living happy, successful  lives.

The above six REAL case - histories will be explored   during this course...

The key  to recognising and changing limiting beliefs, lays in understanding the different personality types and traits that create, distort and maintain  them. This ground-breaking course joins together amazing new  research, and Rob ' s 20 years experience (as a Pure Hypnoanalyst) of treating people with limiting  beliefs   ....

Do you ever  have clients/patients, that regardless of how much you do for them, seem  ‘closed’ to the idea of getting better?  Or clients/patients who,  though they have been successfully treated - and there is no longer any  pathological reason for their symptoms - seem to cling on to them (their  symptoms) for dear life?

Maybe you have treated a smoker, and though they have  stopped, they are struggling because they are still thinking of themselves  as a ‘smoker’ or an ‘ex-smoker’....

Maybe you have helped a person to  lose weight and feel better about themselves, but as soon as they stop  coming for treatment, the weight went back on...

Maybe you have been  treating someone for clinical depression, and they just REFUSE to get  better.....

Maybe you have treated somebody, who just had no belief in  their ability to be healthy, and have a happy, fulfilled life?

This course will not only explain WHY  these clients/patients haven’t got better, but it will teach you how to  train them to overcome their limiting belief systems, and take back control of their  lives!

The Rob Kelly Technique TM, is a multi-faceted  approach to training people to completely change their limiting beliefs -  empowering them to take back control of their life. A major part of this  course will be orientated towards learning a six-session training program  that you can use with your patients/clients, that can significantly help  people with ME, post viral fatigue syndrome, anorexia, fibromyalgia, OCD, smoking.....and just about  ANY other disorder or symptom where limiting
beliefs play a part .

Whilst researching this course, a physicist who runs a  Paediatric Oncology dept in   a major UK hospital told me he can tell within  minutes of meeting children with leukaemia   which ones are likely to survive their illness,  and which ones won’t....it all comes down to their belief systems...   which are changeable!!

Learn Rob’s amazing 'Dream  Process' - where you can turn negative, limiting thoughts and beliefs into  positive, empowering ones - in a matter of seconds.... This is NOT ‘positive  thinking’ - it is a complete process of retraining the way a person thinks and feels.   The process includes techniques adapted from clinical hypnosis, CBT,  NLP, applied psychology and from Robs own clinical experience

Some  of the topics that will be discussed and demonstrated on this course  include:

 - Rob’s 'Dream  Process' - the actual process of changing negative thoughts and feelings into positive  ones.  This is NOT simple ‘positive thinking’ - the problem with ‘normal’ positive thinking,  is that it doesn’t last.  This  does.

 - The HUGE role  that having an 'external locus of control' plays on limited belief systems - the biggest problem with  having limited beliefs, is that people feel POWERLESS to do anything about them – they  feel that these things are beyond their  control..

 -  Understanding the formation of belief systems: where do they come from? Why do  they form in the first  place?  What purpose do they  serve?

 - An in-depth  look at the real causes of ME/PVFS/Chronic Fatigue – and an overview of  all the research undertaken  into these illnesses. What does the medical profession  think?

 - Delusional  belief systems and how they differ from 'normal' beliefs: how can someone with, for example,  anorexia believe they are fat – in the face of overwhelming evidence  to the  contrary?

 - The role of  adrenaline and cortisone, and their influence upon sufferers of ME/PVFS - what is know as ‘the  physiological catch 22’

 - Grooming and  'normalised behaviour' in relation to distorted  thinking

 - How is it  that some people can have hugely traumatic childhoods, and yet grow up to  be resilient, positive,  successful and healthy people...  Whereas some other people  have loving, caring,  supportive and safe experiences of childhood, and yet need three weeks off work just because they  get a cold?

 - The  AMAZING phenomena of ‘Field Dependency’, and how it prevents people from  having perspective over  their problems/symptoms, preventing them from seeing thinks right  under their  noses..

 - 'Deserving' -  the huge role that 'believing that you deserve' plays in a person ’ s ability to get better and move on from a  stressed state.

 -  'Reframing' - taking a different attitude and a different view towards past  and resent  experiences.

 -  Negativity, negative thoughts and the inability to perceive feeling better

 - The positive use of  'Coue's Law' and how to create positive and lasting  changes.

 - A comparison  with 'The Lightening Process', The Perrin Technique, Mickel therapy,  Reverse Therapy and other  interventions that claim some success in treating conditions such as ME/PVFS

 - All insights and  techniques will be backed up by the latest research, psychological testing  and real case  histories

Whilst researching this course,  and refining my technique, I successfully treated a man who had been  suffering terribly with M.E. For over 20 years. It was completely ruining his  life....and yet he told me early on in his training that ‘he would  rather have M.E. until the day he died, rather than being cured now, and  know that his ‘illness’ was psychological . ’

In order to successfully treat people  with limiting beliefs, you MUST have an in-depth understanding of ALL the psychological forces involved in maintaining them. This  course Will teach you  EVERYTHING you need to know.....

For the first time, an  understandable and useable explanation of ‘what anxiety REALLY is’ has  been created.. Rob has broken this down into ‘real-time anxiety’ and  ‘anticipatory anxiety’ - making it much easier for our clients to  understand - in relation to their own symptoms.

The Techniques taught on this course can be used as a  stand-alone training program,   or in conjunction with other therapies such as:  hypnotherapy, psychotherapy, NLP, CBT, Life Coaching, Counselling etc or alongside physical  therapies, such as: osteopathy, Physiotherapy, Chiropractic, and even  alongside conventional medicine: in the G.P.’s surgery In hospitals, or in  clinics

This certificated course is a module in the IAPH  Advanced Diploma in Clinical Hypnosis and Pure Hypnoanalysis. All delegates  will receive a certificate, proof of 14hours CPD, and a course  receipt

As with all Rob's courses and training sessions, this seminar  will be presented in a dynamic, challenging, humorous and exciting way.  Rob Kelly has been in full-time practice as a hypnotherapist and  psychotherapist for twenty years, and has amassed a huge amount of experience  in treating people with limiting belief systems. This two-day course is  all about changing those limiting beliefs....

Venue: The Regency Airport Hotel, Dublin
Times: 10.00 -17.30 both days
Cost: £295 (£275 with early-bird  discount) for non-IAPH Members/Students
or £195 (£175 with early-bird discount) for IAPH Members/Students

Some comments from people who have used this amazing technique:

I had suffered ever since I remember.  Mainly lower back pain, IBS and bladder pain, as well as very low self esteem but after the break up of a long term relationship I suffered anxiety attacks, acute back pain, had to go part time at work because I could no longer travel (I'm in sales). Even visiting friends and family was stressful because I would panic about what they might feed me.  I was getting my life back on track but then I experienced the worst bladder pain I had ever had and very bad IBS for about 4 months.  I had always used Reiki to help my symptoms but this time it wasn't working.  I had moved out of my shared house into a flat on my own because being around people was causing me stress.  I became a total recluse, drinking most evenings and talking to people on the Internet was my only social life.  If you met me you would think I was a successful, strong, attractive person but on the inside I was torturing myself.

The first time I saw Rob, he listened to my "life story" and within minutes totally understood where my problems were coming from.  He helped me to understand that I had an obsessive personality, social phobia, and I was very impressionable, so my inner voice and my spiritual beliefs were actually keeping me ill because I had no trust in my own ability to be well.  All I ever said to myself were negative things... "I will never get better", "no one likes me" etc.  I would always expect the worst to happen and I would obsess about situations for hours on end.

When I started using the DREAM technique, I was very very sceptical that something so simple could be effective, but within a few days I felt like I had unlocked a chain around my neck.  It was like I was seeing the world (and myself) through new eyes.  The negative filter was gone!  When using the DREAM technique it was like putting a petulant child on the naughty step, I would have to repeat it a number of times but eventually the negative thought would be turned into a positive one.  I found that my relationship with my parents and friends had greatly improved and I was no longer the outsider I had imagined myself to be.

After a few weeks I had planned a 2 week work trip to America.  My first meeting was a presentation in front of 30 people and I couldn't believe the improvement in my confidence.  I was finally being the person I knew I could be.  The rest of the trip went amazingly well, even though I was in a different city each day, I was not stressed at all, I had loads of energy and my physical symptoms were much improved.

Now I am a few months on, and I still use the DREAM technique every day.  It is a part of my life now, so much so that I had DREAM tattooed on my wrist as a constant reminder!

I am so grateful to Rob for giving me this tool, I have come such a long way in a short space of time, it has empowered me to change my life for the better and I want to keep going!

Sam March 2009, Cambridge

Hi Rob
Just to let you know, I have just completed your online research survey :)
Now, about my emetophobia....... it's completely bloody gone!
I'm sorry I doubted you, and I'm sorry I was a difficult client, but you are a genius. I had tried everything to try and get some relief from the fear that was crippling my life, and now it is completely gone - and it's amazing. I read your testimonials page before coming to see you, and I remember thinking 'God, I would love to feel like those people do" - well, now I do, and I couldn't be happier. I can eat anything I want, I can drink anything I want, and all my other anxieties have now completely gone. Thank you so so much, you have given me a life.

Sara Carter

Hi Rob,
I hope that you're keeping well.
I realised that I was meant to call you last week however thought I would drop you an e-mail for now. Since we last met, as discussed, I have been applying your DREAM technique and beating the demons. To date I am pleasantly surprised at the outcome. My anxiety prior to driving has considerably subsided and whilst before I would dwell on it for hours on end, since applying DREAM the negative thoughts have started to diminish which has undoubtedly increased my confidence behind the wheel. I have also found that the frequency of the negative thoughts are decreasing. I have travelled short distances on the motorway feeling more confident and will write again when I travel further.
In addition, I have found myself being less angry in relation to small matters which would have bothered me i.e., Ian not cleaning the kitchen or coming home late from work. I thought this was the norm however now that I have a different positive approach I can certainly recognise it wasn't.
I will continue to apply the technique and hopefully next time I will be able to report further developments. The day I left your office, I made a promise not to be scared anymore and since that day life began to change! Thank you. Furthermore, When that little devil on my shoulder rears it's ugly head, I tell it to shut the fu.k up
!
Kind Regards

Rob Kelly has changed my life. He has helped me to see the power of the mind and to better understand myself and how my mind works. Rob's care and concern were apparent immediately and these coupled with his expertise, professionalism and commitment have produced remarkable results. After 7 dreadful years of depression I can see a future. The road Rob took me along was bumpy but he guided and supported me. He has shown me how to use my abilities constructively rather than against myself. Thank you so much Rob.

Some comments from previous course attendees:

I can honestly say that this is the best course I've attended. It was truly inspirational and I came away feeling really enabled and confident. I started putting the technique into practice with clients straight away with excellent results. This technique has really given me the skills to help not only clients with M.E. etc, but so many others. The course content was easy to understand and put into practice. My true 'light bulb' moment came the first time I tried the technique with a client and had a real breakthrough after their last couple of sessions had been spent going round in proverbial circles. If you only do one course this year this has to be it! Thanks again Rob.

I have just returned from Rob Kelly's Limiting Beliefs seminar and I would recommend it to any therapist that deals with clients who present with any debilitating illness.  The weekend was great fun and most informative.  I learned a great deal about how to help clients who are seemingly 'stuck' in a merry go round of chronic illness such as ME, PVS and CFS.  The course is geared towards self help for these people and postive thinking. You will learn so much about the typical personality traits of such clients and how to help them deal with their illness and help them change their belief system.  Rob is a dynamic and innovative individual with a presentation style which is unique.
Pat Harland MIAPH - www.harlandhypnotherapy.co.uk

I just wanted to say how truly inspirational I found the course at the weekend. I feel that as a therapist I now have a fantastic additional tool in my arsenal to assist clients. The delivery was, as always, exceptional and really left me wanting to know more about the symptoms and effective treatment of ME, PVF and CFS.
I literally started using it with clients the next day.
Cheers Rob

The two day residential course for 'Changing limiting beliefs' was, for me extemely useful. I have two clients, who although they had undergone a successful analysis were still questioning some aspects of their presenting problems. I was able to apply the procedure I learned on the course for these people, resulting in their learning to check and understand more clearly, their own thought process. This meant they had a greater understanding of self and therfore more control in aiding their own recovery.
The underlying characteristics of some personalities, and quite rightly so, predispose them to question and analyse their thoughts in a critical way.  This new procedure can help them to stop 'being mean' to themselves and to use their ability in a positive rather than a negative way.
It is a really useful and simple way to help me to help my clients find relief, and this can only be good.
Erica Walsh - hypnotherapist

Although the course was developed with ME suffers in mind, I am applying the techniques with many other problems that I am being consulted for, with excellent results.  As with all your courses, the weekend was not only informative and interesting but great fun too.
Philip Blake - www.hypnotherapy.je

Rob Kellys "Challenging Limiting Belief Systems" is a course which ALL therapists should attend. The content opens up a whole new dimension to the thinking process, not only for those difficult to treat clients, but also for our own personal belief systems. The course was at times emotive but presented by Rob, in a caring, humorous and direct manner. The two days included interactive learning through therapists own personal distorted thinking, plus a detailed life experience of a past ME sufferer. An absolutely brilliant course.
Anne Costelloe. London

I just wanted to say thank you for the Changing Beliefs course - it's filled in a gap in our therapy that meant we couldn't help clients who were unable (usually because they were'nt motivated) to go through hypnoanalysis and given us a fantastic new way to get round the hurdles and resistance put up by analysis clients too.
The two days were certainly challenging to someone who believes so wholeheartedly in analysis, but it just made sense and its been helping me since I came back to work to really get through to clients who might otherwise have either left therapy or not managed to resolve their problems.
I'm already incorporating the techniques when I'm working with children and young adults too - one area that I felt we were'nt doing enough at times; with really good results.
I'd say this was just a very important course and will be coming back for a refresher and to pick your brains.

Hi Rob,
I would just like to say a big "THANK YOU". Since attending your 'changing limiting belief systems' course in December i have had fantastic results with my clients, some of whom would never have got through therapy without me using the techniques i learnt on the course
Thanks again

Vikki Heath

Just to say officially that the workshop on Changing Belief Systems was really great. I am finding that I can use the concepts we covered on  a regular basis : during initial consultations, for suggestion therapy, and as a final debriefing after a course of pure hypnoanalysis.  Tomorrow I plan to incorporate elements of it into a Blowaway  ............... love the plank walking !!!
Thank you Rob for your dedication, hard work and inspirational weekends............... humour's pretty good too.
Julia Chrisfield - Hypnotherapist

When I first attended Rob’s course I was a bit sceptical on whether the simplicity of
his unique methods would actually work in real life. However I was proven to be wrong! They just didn’t work ... they totally transformed the life of one client, who was totally obsessed with negativity, yet within a few days of applying the Rob Kelly Changing Limiting Beliefs Technique™, she is now living a very happy, positive life AND has totally turned her life around! So, thanks for sharing your unique methods ..if they can convert a sceptic like me they can help any therapist train their most negative clients to become more powerful in their choices!”
Cheers mate ...

Sales and Marketing for Therapists

2009 Dates TBA

At the Bedford Hypnotherapy Clinic

Presented by Gary Foster MIAPH

MOST hypnotherapists fail because of one fatal flaw … their inability to create a profitable business with their sought after skills. In fact most treat what they’re doing as a hobby and ‘play at it’ rather than become serious about it … the first indicator is the level of fees they charge and how they present themselves!
If you’re fed up at not being able to bring in more clients and create a business that will give you the income you deserve, then this workshop is for you. If you’re mystified at this thing called ‘marketing’ then worry no more. In just one day, Gary will strip away all the jargon and will work with you to develop your own ‘hypnotherapy practice’.

Here’s a taster on what you’ll discover …
- How to raise yourself above all of the other hypnotherapists in your area to become the ‘known expert’
- How to charge the right fees
- The secrets on writing adverts that attract potential clients that are a delight to take through therapy
- How to write press releases that get printed
- The brutal truth about brochures and flyers … this one will really make you sit up and listen! Get this wrong and you might as well wave goodbye to your business
- How to use your business cards as your ‘silent sales force’
- Why it’s important to have a marketing communication calendar AND if you don’t have one now, how to put one together which’ll reap in the rewards again and again, plus....you’ll also get a jam-packed 59 page manual that is full of hints, tips and strategies designed to grow
your business.

Easy Website optimisation for Therapists
Presented By Rob Kelly FIAPH

Question: What is the easiest and quickest way to attract lots more clients?
Answer: By getting thousands more visitors to your website!

This one-day training course has been designed specifically for Therapists who have a website, (or would like one) and would like that website to rank highly, ie, appear at the top of the screen on the major search engines like google, alta vista, msn etc.

Most potential clients will only look at the first page of results once they have searched for ‘hypnotherapist in Leeds’ or ‘stop smoking in London’ etc. …. You need your website to be on this first page of website listings if you want lots of visitors to view your web pages.

You might have the best looking website in the world,
but it is useless unless people visit it!

There are just under TWELVE MILLION web-pages on ‘hypnosis’ on Google. Therefore, having an interesting, colourful, information-packed website is NO GOOD TO YOU AT ALL unless the public can find it by using one of the major search-engines.

During this dynamic course, Rob Kelly (a hypnotherapist, and expert in search-engine optimisation) will ‘optimise’ (make it search-engine friendly) one of the attending delegates websites, and turn it into a high-ranking, easy to find, search-term-specific, client-finder!

Rob will talk you through the whole process as he does it, so that you can optimise your own site at the same time. All Rob’s courses are presented in a fun & empowering manner.
This course will equip you with all the skills necessary to make all of your web pages HIGHLY VISIBLE to the public. Learn how to write the very best web pages, and optimise them for best performance, including: which words and pictures to use, the right ratio of words-to-pictures, the right topics to write pages on, ambiguous spelling, links to other websites, keyword meta-tags, keywords meta-title-tags, description tags, alt-tags, pictures, etc, etc.

In a recent survey of 250 hypnotherapists, 92% stated they attracted more than 80% of their clients via their website Ensure your website is getting as many visitors as possible!

Bring your website with you... If you already have one – either on your laptop or on paper, and we will work through it with you during the day. You will learn how to change/update your pages in order to make it ‘search-engine friendly’.

You DO NOT need to know anything about websites or search engines to benefit from this course

During the course, I will optimise one of the attending delegates websites, and turn it into a high-ranking, easy to find client-finder.

There is free internet access at the hotel, so you can optimise your website and have it uploaded to your server before the seminar is even finished!
I will teach you how to create the most effective domain and page names, including ‘doorway’ and ‘landing’ pages. I will also explain how search engines work, and how they rank different websites and web pages: why are some always in ‘the top ten’, and while others cannot be found, anywhere….

Why pay £1000's to somebody to do this for you, when you can do it MUCH BETTER yourself, and keep your website on top by spending just an hour a month on it.`

You will receive a purpose-written (plain-English!) handout detailing EXACTLY what you need to do to get the very best results from your website. An easy-to-read step-by-step guide will take you through the whole process.

Don’t worry if you are not ‘web-literate’ or ‘computer-literate’ – you can prepare the right wording and tags for your website on paper, and give this to your web-master to upload for you.

Question: What is the biggest mistake to make in marketing yourself?
Answer: To assume that whoever built your website has optimised it effectively... most web designers DO NOT KNOW VERY MUCH AT ALL about website optimisation!
If you had your website created/designed by someone else, it is very likely that it is very poorly optimised - Why not call Rob now, and together you can check over your site?

Some comments from previous course attendees:

"My knowledge of computers, websites, software and the like you can pretty well write on the back of a postage stamp. After your course, I've come home, rewritten sections of my website, placed appropriate keywords on each page, even uploaded all this information back to my host server, gotten google to have a look at it. Before your course, I could have done none of the above. Thank you so much for the course, I have no doubt this will benefit my business".

This course is a MUST for anyone wanting their website to be the main source for attracting clients to their Practice/Clinic. Rob explains clearly and without the normal computer " gobblygook" how to use the tricks of the trade to ensure your website is properly optimised. The opportunity to ask questions at all levels will ENSURE that new business finds YOU as opposed to your competitors. There should be no choice - you need to attend this Course ! You also get a concise Handout from the course as well for reference purposes - find out when the next Course is... and book !!
Greg Coyne, Hypnotherapist

Prior to the course if you typed 'Stop Smoking Hypnotherapy Dartford' in google my website came up on the second or third page. After some minor changes learnt on the course, and some patience while google crawled my site again, if you type in either 'stop smoking dartford', 'quit smoking dartford', or 'give up smoking dartford' without any reference to hypnosis it now comes up as the first entry out of over 40,000 websites. Believe me when I say I am no web developer!!! As a result when the smoking ban came round in July the course ended up paying for itself 20 times over!!!
Richard Brent, Hypnotherapist Richard's Website

Hi, I just want to report that following the workshop I did with Rob on optimisation. I am thoroughly enjoying working on my own web pages rather than paying large sums of money to "experts".
The course opened my eyes and gave me the confidence to get in there and make it happen.
As a result I have moved from page 8 or 3 depending on the subject search, to page 1 in every topic I have worked on. It is often the top site on page 1 too. Enquiries are up as a result.
I would thoroughly recommend Rob's workshop to anyone who is still struggling to get to grips with this fascinating subject. I hope he will run another!!

If a technophobe like me can find this stuff interesting and easy then anyone with their own website will! It's great to maximise the potential of my previously invisible website, which after all is my main "shop window". Thanks Rob for turning me onto something I was so reluctant to do myself. It's both saved me £100's in fees to an SEO company and my enquiries have doubled even after only two weeks!

The Rob Kelly Approach to understanding and helping survivors of sexual abuse and rape

New Dates to be confirmed soon

This course is written and presented by Rob Kelly FIAPH

The cost of attending this course is £295 (£195 IAPH/ICHP members/Students) – which includes refreshments and lunch on both days.

B&B is available at the Hotel for £35, per person, per night

This course is written and presented by Rob Kelly, a hypnotherapist and trainer who has helped over two thousand victims of sexual abuse, over an eighteen year period.

The course will be based entirely around REAL case histories: some of which will be presented live on the day. Every delegate will receive comprehensive notes, an attendance certificate, and proof of 14 hours CPD. The course will be presented in a dynamic, colourful, and where possible, light-hearted manner, in order to facilitate a good group dynamic, and ease of learning.

To work successfully with the victims of sexual abuse, you must first
understand why and how abusers manage to abuse, and why they (often) get away with it undetected for many years.

This knowledge will help enable you to fully comprehend the very
powerful effects of GROOMING, DISTORTED THINKING, and
NORMALISATION – behaviours that often ‘trap’ the victims of abuse,
preventing them from being able to resolving their issues, and ‘unlock’
their own destructive behaviour traits.

This course will equip you with a good working knowledge and understanding of the issues surrounding Sexual Abuse; from the victim’s, perpetrators and therapeutic perspectives.

Some of the topics discussed will be:

  • Why men (mostly) rape and abuse women and children
  • The different types off abuse, and different types of abuser
  • How an abuser chooses, grooms and abuses his victims
  • How it feels to be abused, and the defence mechanisms and symptoms that can be produced by abuse.
  • How to help an abuse 'victim' to take control of their life and live happily - which interventions work best and quickest?
  • How to protect your family from sexual predators
  • Understanding 'Victimology'
  • Types of abuse
  • Signs & Symptoms of abuse
  • Fear/Denial/Guilt/Shame Dissociation & Resistance
  • Helping an abused client
  • A sociological perspective
  • Repression & Survival .........Is there a 'Victim Cycle'?
  • What is Grooming?
  • Why it is now a criminal offence?
  • What purpose does it serve?
  • Different experiences of grooming
  • The 'favourite uncle' syndrome
  • Collusion Institutionalised grooming (church, social work, teaching, police)
  • How grooming will impact upon any later attempts to resolve conflict surrounding the abuse (i.e. therapy)
  • Profiling the sexual offender.
  • Why do people abuse?
  • What triggers an assault?
  • Can paedophiles be successfully treated?
  • 'Career Paedophiles'
  • The 'Offender Cycle'
  • Female offenders
  • Why is it that 99% of abusers are victims, and yet very few victims become abusers?

"I can heartily recommend this two-day training course: Rob Kelly is a rare breed .... not only is he a highly-skilled and knowledgeable clinician, he is also a superb presenter who possess the ability to impart his experience to others in a truly inspiring fashion."
Dr Mark Pummel MBBS MRCGP FRCPsych

Please beware that the course will go into depth about many emotionally-charged subjects, and delegates who are not used to discussing such subjects openly, may find the training quite challenging. It is for this reason that we also suggest delegates take up the special B&B price at the hotel (only £35 per night) in order to unwind and ‘de-brief’ on the Saturday evening.

This is a Module of the IAPH Advanced Diploma Programme - Successfully complete 8 modules, and you will be awarded the Advanced Diploma in Hypnotherapy and Hypnoanalysis

Rob Kelly and his associates have developed this course specifically for therapists and those professionals working with abuse victims and perpetrators. They bring a wealth of experience, having worked for many years within both statutory and non-statutory sectors, providing services to children (victims and perpetrators) and adults (survivors, non-abusing parents and perpetrators). Their own professional training has been provided by nationally recognised experts including The Lucy Faithful Foundation, and Ray Wyre and Associates.

Rob and his colleagues provide a range of consultancy and training services (social care, management, hypnotherapy, forensic hypnosis, professional supervision and communication & negotiation skills), and they also provide therapeutic interventions for individuals and small groups.

Some comments from previous course attendees:

Rob, this has to be one of the best courses that I have ever attended (and I have attended a lot of courses!). . . .the content was packed full of information and this difficult subject was presented in a down to earth, easy to understand, light hearted manner that made it more comfortable and easier to take in, absorb and learn. . . I was amazed and impressed at how well you treated everyone, lunch on both days, drink at the bar, mini cabs, night on the town.  I think that you should feel proud of yourself for the way you operate and the way you treat your members and the way that you treated us.  We will certainly attend other courses with you, if that's ok and thankyou again Rob for a first class course.
David Birch ICHP, Hypnotherapist

Once again another superb workshop run by Rob!  His style is entertaining and hugely informative. I have worked with quite a number of victims of abuse and this workshop has given me a much greater insight into the types of abuser and how they groom both the victim and those around him/her. All of this will help me enormously when working with my clients to help them to make sense of how they were groomed to help them resolve their conflict and take control of their lives. It will also be very much easier to spot any grooming should it ever happen around my friends or family. A great workshop – one you really must attend!
Penny Albertella, Hypnotherapist - Penny's Website

A great course seminar which is invaluable for a therapist wishing to deepen his or her understanding of the behavioural and nurturing issues which need to be addressed when dealing with the effects of the abuse of children.
Terry Shadwell, Hypnotherapist - Terry's Website

The sex abuse course was informative, engaging, thorough and better yet applicable to my day to day work in my own practice. Rob’s style of presentation is class participatory, approachable and really, really easy going. It was enlightening to get the perpetrator’s perspective / pathology as it can be difficult to comprehend how abuse is even possible, by what can be otherwise normal and lovely people. There was a wonderful, open and friendly atmosphere among the participants. We were all encouraged to go out on the first evening to unwind – which shows extra care and understanding to make sure everybody is OK with what is being presented. I never knew I could sit through two days of sex abuse material and have so much fun. It is both a testament to Rob’s open and humorous presentation skills and also to pure hypnoanalysis itself. Having just completed the therapy myself I was not ‘triggered’/upset in any way, and given that every area of abuse was covered, this was a wonderful test of the effectiveness of the therapy.
Ailish McGrath, Hypnotist and Hypnotherapist - Ailish's Website

Great course, a real must attend for all therapists to gain a greater understanding of this subject, and considering the content, presented in a light hearted manner.
What really stands out is the associations and its members who are all so friendly and supportive and make everyone feel so safe and comfortable.  If I had to sum up the weekend in one word I would say "comfortable".
Nicky Delacy, IAPH Student Hypnotherapist

A potentially very heavy and serious subject was once again delivered in a light and manageable way. This enabled us to absorb the information, knowledge and experience available to us over two days. This course introduces us into the world of the abuser. More importantly, it gives us a vital understanding of the victims experiences, without which it would be very difficult for us to help them.
Kieran Fitzpatrick, Hypnotherapist - Kieran's Website

I would like to thank Rob Kelly for providing the "Sexual Abuse and Sexual Offending" course. While this topic is very serious, Rob's knowledgeable presentation was delivered succinctly, compassionately and with a sense of humour that in no way detracted nor demeaned the topic. I now understand sexual abuse in a much more comprehensive way as the focus was not solely on the victims, but on the pscychology of abusers. This one day course is vital to the therapist's better understanding of their clients and I highly recommend attending  future courses.
Ron van der Holt, Hypnotherapist - Ron's website

Since attending this course I would doubt anyone to be fully equipped as a therapist without knowledge gleaned from this. To fully understand the mind set of an abuse victim, it is essential to also understand the mindset of the abuser and the impact this will have on therapy. I feel better prepared now to help the client who has survived either  physical, emotional or sexual  abuse as this course covers every aspect.
Caroline Hamblin, Hypnotherapist - Caroline's website

This course is an essential professional development course for all therapists and councillors involved in dealing with the results of abuse. It gives a greater understanding of the distorted thinking and patterns of behaviour of abusers and the effects on the abused. The material is powerful and challenging but ultimately leads to a shift in perspective that can only be of benefit to all who attend and I highly recommend it.
Keith Jones, Hypnotherapist - Keith's Website

I attended Robs excellent course ,dealing with sexual abuse and it,s perpetrators. I not only found it interesting and informative in the extreme. But a cathartic experience, and an invaluable tool for achieving self understanding. As the grooming methods of abusers were explained, it became very easy to apply to ones personal experience some of the methods described.
Because of this course I feel totally confident in my dealings with the unfortunate victims of the many kinds of sexual and personal abuse.
Danny Nuttall, Hypnotherapist - Danny's Website

Just a quick note to say how much I enjoyed the course, it’s always good to meet the gang and it goes without saying that (as usual) I  got a great deal out of the experience, as there is something new to learn each and every time. The sense of community among the members is truly valuable.
Brian Brown, Hypnotherapist and Psychotherapist - Brian's Website

I think this course is an absolute "MUST" for all therapists, regardless of the type of therapy they practice.  Less that one week on and I have already put the insights gained on the course to good use in the therapy room. Having been in practice for a couple of years now and done lots of reading around the subject, I thought I had a reasonable grasp of how Grooming and Sexual Abuse may affect therapy, but it soon became clear my previous understanding was somewhat limited to say the least. Although the subject matter of this course is emotionally challenging, I came away with a really positive feeling that I would be able to assist my clients much more effectively when they are resolving and facing up to abusive experiences of the past. Not only will I be booking myself on more of your courses Rob, I will most definetly be attending this course again.
Richard Brent, Hypnotist and Hypnotherapist - Richard's Website

Free Association in Pure Hypnoanalysis

2009 dates to be confirmed soon!

Written and presented by Rob Kelly FIAPH

The cost of attending this course is £295 (£195 IAH members/Students) – which includes refreshments and lunch on both days.

B&B is available at the Hotel - at a reduced rate of £35

Free-Association is the amazingly effective process that enables people to completely and permanently resolve the unconscious causes of their anxiety, depression, eating disorder, phobia or other emotional or psychological problem.

Free Association is one of the most misunderstood of all therapeutic techniques, and yet, when administered correctly, is profoundly effective. The aim of this course is to equip you with the skills and knowledge to practice Free-Association successfully. The therapy, and more importantly, how to practice it, will be described in detail - the majority of the training will consist of listening to, and analysing, pre-recorded therapy sessions. Many different recordings, of various clients, at different stages of the therapeutic process will be studied in order to understand what most helps and hinders the therapeutic process.

Some of the topics discussed will be:

  • Why is ‘FA’ so successful, where other interventions fail?
  • The many ways that both the client (and therapist) can sabotage therapy
  • The effects of denial, dissociation, disavowel and grooming upon therapy
  • How to explain FA to your clients, and what to say if they get ‘stuck’
  • Learn when to talk, and when to stay quiet. What are the right things to say?
  • Understand what ‘true’ or ‘pure’ Free Association REALLY is
  • How to help a client to abreact, and to release their bottled-up emotions
  • Learn to spot red herrings, and use techniques like ‘automatic writing and drawing’
  • Learn why this technique the most natural and holistic of ALL therapies
  • How to use ‘clean’ and ‘reflective’ language effectively
  • Understand ‘recovered memory’, false-memory, and the law
  • Recognise the effects of distorted thinking and ‘normalisation’ on therapy

Rob Kelly FIAPH will present this dynamic and empowering course, which is open to any practicing therapists, or therapists in training. The content of the course will be quite explicit at times, and traumatic events may well be discussed in great depth.

Some comments from previous course attendees:

Attending the recent "The Secrets of Free Association Course" has provided me with an in-depth understanding of what FA means and how to guide a client through the process. The unique live demonstations were superb and as a new student, all my questions regarding this topic were answered. It was presented in a very sensitive and down to earth manner by Rob Kelly, who in my opinion, is an excellent presenter and captures the audience's attention completely throughout the two days.
Anne Costelloe, Pinner - Successful Hypnotherapy Student

Hi Rob
Just a note to say how brilliant your recent 'free association' course was. The course was presented in a professional and humorous manner making it easy to understand and easy to absorb. All in all a brilliant course and I'm looking forward to attending more course with you in the future. Keep it up mate, all the very best
Tony Clayton - Successful Hypnotherapy Student

I attended the free association seminar hoping that it would help me to get a better understanding of this unique therapy that we in the iaph practice.  We were able to listen to tapes, and hear how Rob Kelly gets the best possible results from clients.  Also, being a volunteer I was able to experience first hand the way to make sure each client is making clear links to progress with their therapy.  I would strongly recommend that any therapist or student hoping to become a therapist go on this amazing two day course, and to get the maximum benefit be a volunteer.  Since going to this, my clients have increased, my results with clients have increased, and my confidence as a therapist has also increased.
Susan Chetwynd, Hypnotherapist

I've been practicing free association for a long time. Even so, I found the course really worthwhile. Taking some your sessions apart and looking at what you did and why was really helpful. I think what
was really good was that you didn't take the easy clients but the difficualt ones, which is where we all struggle. I don't doubt the course has helped me with my clients and I look forward to attending
a further course.
Philip Blake, Hypnotherapist - Philip's Website

Whether you are an established practitioner or a "newbie" you need to attend this course. Rob not only produces his usual fantastic handout and of course his usual great presentation and banter but also those attending have the opportunity to see at first hand how Rob carries out his methods of 'Pure' Free Association as he demonstrates on a few unsuspecting members of the audience just how it should be done. By watching at first hand you WILL come away from the Course and change and improve the way you are using and demonstrating Free Association with your Clients. With
the opportunity to ask any questions and have them clinically explained this course is one of the BEST! You cant afford NOT to go on this course.
Greg Coyne - Hypnotherapist

A unique insight into the subtle ways of helping a client through analysis. My success rate at getting clients through therapy in under 10 sessions has more than doubled! No more problems with resistance - the 'brick walls' are demolished before my clients ever know they are there. Understanding the pace and structure of an ideal session has helped me to become a better therapist.

Stop Smoking Easily - with 'The Rob Kelly Method'

The unique training program - written and presented By Rob Kelly FIAPH

Learn how to stop 95% of smokers - in just one session!
Learn from a GENUINE expert in this field who has stopped over 6350 smokers.

During this packed one-day course, you will learn EVERYTHING that you need to know
in order to be able to stop 95% of the Smokers who walk through your door
in just one hour-long session.

The Rob Kelly Method is an amazingly powerful technique that is able to completely change a smokers belief system - into that of a non-smoker. Like most people I firmly believed I smoked because I was addicted to it - it didn't help that I was also a Doctor!
I had smoked solidly for 18 years and was in Rob's clinic for under an hour....
I haven't smoked, or wanted to smoke, ever since.

That was six years ago. Now, I use the Rob Kelly Method with my own patients
- I have never witnessed a more successful anti-smoking technique.
Dr James Froggatt Phd.

A real session will be demonstrated before your very eyes and then dissected so you can understand the component parts. Stopping someone smoking permanently is a lot more involved than just giving them some suggestion therapy, and keeping your fingers crossed!
Rob will explain (in plain English):

  • How to attract smokers.
  • How to filter out the smokers who you DON'T want to take on.
  • How to help the smoker to overcome their ERRONEOUS BELIEF that they are addicted to it.
  • Why smoking is THE BEST habit in the world to have (no joke!).
  • That motivation (or willpower) is directly related to incentive (or benefit) and why this is the major reason most smokers fail to stop.
  • The cycle of dysfunctional behaviour and how it relates to smoking.
  • Why most smokers trying to quit are operating under a delusional belief system that continually undermines their attempts to quit.
  • How visualisation can keep the client feeling positive and focussed.
  • Why smokers are happy to pay £250 for a one-hour 'stop smoking easily' session .
  • Why the client's firm belief that they are a non-smoker is so critical.
  • How to SUPERCHARGE rapport and trust.
  • How to overcome cognitive dissonance (the feeling that 'something is not quite right').
  • The difference between a Smoker, and Ex-Smoker and a Non-Smoker..
  • Recognise which smokers to NOT take on.. different personality types
  • How to word the perfect suggestions.and much more.

Rob's method is unlike any other, and was developed over a 17 year period. Rob's background is as a Pure Hypnoanalyst - and this has given him a unique insight into the human psyche. 'The Method' fuses a selection of different psychological and analytical techniques in order to achieve a complete change in the clients belief system. It's only with a change in the belief system that permanent success can be guaranteed. Rob alone has stopped over 6350 smokers with his method, and has trained more than 150 other therapists. Together they have stopped tens of thousands....

Rob will prove to you, why having a single one-hour session is far more successful than having many sessions, an extra long session, or stopping over a period of weeks!

A comprehensive 85 page Rob Kelly Method - Support Pack is included in the cost of this course. This pack is a written account of everything Rob will teach you on the day of the course, including: the best inductions to use, the actual suggestions to give, how to run the session, how to change your clients belief system, what to say to your client, examples to give, and over 40 pages of independent research into smoking, tobacco, habits, advertising etc etc.

FREE TO DELEGATES ON THIS COURSE ' A SIXTY MINUTE SUBLIMINAL 'EASY SMOKING CESSATION' CD ' TO USE IN YOUR CONSULTING ROOM.

Some comments from previous course attendees, and previous clients of
'The Rob Kelly Method'

Without a shadow of a doubt Rob Kelly has created the most insightful, thorough and powerful smoking cessation method available. His training and presentations are second to none driven by his desire for the success of his students and ultimately their clients. To the best of my knowledge I have 100% success rate in smoking cessation for my clients due to Rob's teachings and techniques. It's very satisfying when new clients cross your door after being referred from your previouss successful clients. I'm so looking  forward to the latest updated course from Rob for a World Class smoking cessation package.
Barry Kieran, hypnotherapist - Barrys website

There are so many stop smoking courses out there...stop smoking seminars, stop smoking tapes, stop smoking books, stop smoking meetings, stop smoking groups. The difference with the Rob Kelly method is that the therapy is not about just stopping smoking, but actually changing the way you think and so becoming a NON-SMOKER - not a smoker that has stopped. This approach, this fundamental change in belief system from smoker to non-smoker, is what makes his course, and ultimately the sessions that I do for my smoking clients using his method and techniques, so incredibly successful time after time. I have used his method now for years.
Richard Parsons - Richards website

Hi Chris, One week on still a non smoker thanks to you, passed your number on to all my friends. Had no cravings BRILLIANT.
Kind Regards. Matt Laraway
Therapist: Chris Bell

I felt brilliant after the session.  I felt really good.  I felt free.  It felt fantastic to be a non-smoker.  I threw my cigarettes away and chucked my ashtray in the bin.  I know hypnosis works.  I've even taken upcycling again now that I have more energy.  D.S from Sittingbourne
Therapist: Becki Bedford

As a hypnotherapist, the one thing we all need is success with our clients, particularly in the field of helping people to stop smoking, as this is the area we are often judged by and receive referrals from. Your course is very comprehensive and provides everything any therapist could possibly need to know to successfully help clients stop smoking.  Even the most experienced therapist will find elements of this course that will benefit them.
Philip Blake: Philips website

After my one session with Gary I have not even so much craved a cigarette and have not felt compelled to return to the nicotine trap. I was a 20 a day smoker for 17 years, so if I can stop, so can you! Jane Woods - Bedford
Therapist: Gary Foster

The training seminar Rob does for Stop Smoking Easily is one of the best seminars I have attended. Rob's unique sense of humour and his ability to get the message across whilst having fun is paramount to the successful learning achieved on the day.
Pattie Harland: Patties website

Rob's course was invaluable in helping me in my practice, to know exactly how to assess and motivate a client to quit smoking in 1 session, easily. Thanks Rob. The course was excellent
Ron Vander Holt: Rons website

A brilliant course! It will upturn your thinking about smoking; why it is not an addiction and why it is so easy to be a non-smoker. A must-do workshop!
Penny Albertella - Pennys website

Hi Greg I would like to say a BIG thank you for giving me the confidence, the willpower, and making me believe I could actually become a non-smoker. A month has now passed and I am proud to say that it is the best thing that has happened to me for ages. I have just come back
from a holiday, my first as a non-smoker and it felt so great not stressing and wanting a cigarette before getting on the plane - it never even crossed my mind. I am now trying hard to get all my smoking friends to come and see you. Thanks again, Kevin
Therapist: Greg Coyne

Dear Rob, Thank you so much for allowing me to be a guinea pig at your smoking cessation course. Even before we got the hypnosis bit I knew I was done. It has been nearly 3 years and I can honestly say I know I will never have another cigarette. Thanks to your method I know I’m finally over them!
Thanks again,
Ayse.

It's been an extremely busy stressful time at work. I've been out at weekends and haven't even considered a smoke. To say it has been easy is an understatement! Paul.
Therapist: Philip Blake

Rob’s smoking cessation seminar provides all the tools and know how to get effective results with smokers who wants to quit. My success rate is extremely high thanks to the techniques he’s taught me.
Emily Heale - Emilys website

I couldn’t quite find the words to explain it but I did feel somehow ‘elated’ and, protest over, now felt ready to embark on my new life as a non-smoker. The fog had been lifted and I now saw smoking in totally different light. This stupid habit had been controlling my life and making feel a worthless failure every time I succumbed to another cigarette. Just what was so special about a rolled up bit of tobacco? Diane Day - reporter for the Lurgan Mail.
Therapist - Stevie Chan

Dear Andy,Thank you so much for helping me become 'a non smoker'.
I felt confident straight away that I wouldn't be reaching for that pack and so it was, SO much easier than I had anticipated. Since then 6 weeks have past and I can proudly think of myself as a non smoker, I feel so much better for having changed my life, I feel 'in charge' at last! Thanks Andy for your help. Mrs K R Horslen
Therapist - Andy Sharman

Dear Rob
Twelve months ago today I came to you to quit smoking. I am delighted to say that I have not touched a cigarette since. Thank you so much for releasing me from this bad habit. The money I spent on your session has been "saved" many times over since I saw you!!.
Best regards, Martyn, a non-smoker.

Since stopping smoking in September 2007, not only have I felt better and been healthier BUT (also) richer! I now do things on time not after my fag!" Sean Jones - Bedford
Therapist: Bedford Hypnosis

Hypnotherapists, this is your bread and butter, this is the one that Joe public judges you on, so you had better be good at it! And believe me this course will help you become very, very good at it, and how do I know this? Its been four years since I attended it, and guess what? I haven't smoked since, and the best thing is, I didn't even need the hypnosis part. Smoking is a behaviour, and to try and change a behaviour without changing the belief behind it is very difficult, but when you change the belief the rest is easy!
Stephen Chan, Hypnotherapist - Stephen's Website

Brilliant Rob. I saw you five months ago now, and I haven't touched one since. Superb!
Janet Rogers, Cambridge

It was I think 3 years ago that I went on your couse so I have helped 100's of clients since, using your method - with a 95% success rate for people wanting to give up smoking, and a 100% success rate on people giving up cocaine.
Rebecca Bedford, hypnotherapist

Unbelievable! I never thought in a million years I could give up smoking - and I did it so easily! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you.
Karen Stevenson, Haverhill

Hypnotherapists, this is your bread and butter, this is the one that Joe public judges you on, so you had better be good at it! And believe me once you attend Rob's course you become very, very good at it, and here's the proof. It’s been four years since I attended it and I haven't smoked since, and the best thing is, I wasn't even hypnotised
…what Rob taught us just made sense!
Stephen Chan, hypnotherapist - Stephens website

Thank you so much. I really am a non-smoker. I have not touched a cigarette since and I know that I won’t again. Thank you so much for releasing me from this bind and the bad habit that smoking had become. Worth every penny.
Thank you again & again! - Natalie - a non-smoker.

Therapist: Ayse Banbridge

I would like to just make a comment on Rob Kelly's "Stop Smoking Easily with the Rob Kelly Method". I have been involved with Hypnotherapy since 1996, and thanks to my fantastic training, have always prided myself on my good success rate. However in 2003 I attended Rob's training seminar.... WOW! It's not just easy for the client, as a hypnotherapist utilising Rob's methods has seen a dramatic increase in my clients but also my success rate. It is that easy! I can honestly say that I believe there to be nothing in the area of Smoking Cessation around today, that comes anywhere near the success of the Rob Kelly Method. I now ONLY use Rob's techniques with my Smoking Cessation clients. It is a superb course.
Mark Phoenix Murphy - Marks website

I'm sorry for doubting you Rob! I now 100% believe I was not addicted to nicotine or smoking - sorry I was such a pain in the arse!
Clare Mowbray, Cambridge

Rob Kelly has the unique ability at being able to explain the process of helping someone change from being an adamant smoker to someone who's happy to live the rest of their life as a natural non-smoker. His techniques 'just work!
Sue Wilson, Hypnotherapist - Sues website

Thanks for your help with my stop smoking session. Came home, threw all evidence of smoking in the bin and have not had a fag since. Found it pretty easy to be honest. Must admit, was a little cynical about it upon leaving the session with you, but something most definitely happened during our session as I would never have thought it could be this easy... Adam, Milton Keynes
Therapist: Emily Heale

Thanks Rob - I haven't even thought about it, not alone had one!
Mrs Brownhill, Cambridge

After smoking 40 a day for 40 years I thought I would never stop, and would end up going the way of my Granddad and Father - lunc cancer. Out of desperation I tried the Rob Kelly Method, and haven't smoked a single cigarette ever since. It has completely changed my life and my family is so grateful. Thanks Rob
Dave Barry, Cambridge

Hi Barry, Just wanted to say a big thank you, I have not smoked now since the 14/4/08, and I am now expecting my second baby in Jan which is great as I have not smoked at all in this pregnancy. Thanks a million, long may it continue and also my partner followed suit and quit as I had. I will pass your name on to anyone that I know who smokes but wants to quit. Louise
Therapist: Barry Kieran

Having undertaken Rob's Smoking Cessation course I have found that the results achieved by this quick method of Smoking Cessation are superb. Clients are amazed at how they become non-smokers in just 60-90 minutes with lasting results. Once they realise that their reasons for wanting to stop are just not tangible reasons, and that they can stop easily if the immediate benefits are there for them, the hypnosis is the extra motivation that's needed. This method works - the results prove it !!
Greg Coyne - Gregs Website

I had been a smoker for 30 years, I had tried many times before to quit and failed…. Barry was recommended by a friend of the family and although I was very sceptical, my children urged me to go out of concern for my health. After the session I knew I would never smoke again… Barry I really do feel more calm and confident in myself and I do look and feel 10 years younger thank you soo much.

Rob Kelly's Specialised Smoking Cessation course, is what makes the IAPH practise in this treatment, way above good,in a category of par excellence. It is what makes a one hour session, Successful, Liberating, and Complete. This is because it doesnt only teach the suggestions to use to the powerful software of the subconscious mind, but the important aspects of the cognitive distortions of smoking, and hence the applied psychology to it all.
This is why in my treatments I can take such a dynamic approach in preparing clients, before they even get to the therapy room, totally fired up, with no fear of failure, and a brilliant success rate.
I cannot imagine practising any other way. An essential course as a practitioner, to be totally well informed, and therefore to keep standards and success rates higher than highest.
Brilliant.
Su Filer, Successful Hypnotherapy Student

I feel like I've never smoked before...Yes! I feel good, my lungs feel clean, I can breathe easily. My chest isn't tight anymore.  I'm free and I'm back in control.' J.D from Stroud
Therapist: Becki Bedford

I'm not crabby and I'm not smoking...... It's been more than 48 hours - and I haven't had a cigarette. No big deal? It is for me. And I feel completely relaxed about it. That is the big difference. I know it's still early days but I have been to a pub and too a party and I haven't smoked. My children have all been monsters and I haven't smoked. My colleagues are still smoking - and I'm not. I've got this feeling I might have cracked it this time!!!

This course teaches how childbirth can be a relaxed and positive experience for all involved.  It is well presented and goes through every aspect of the birthing process including how to dispel fears and worries and explaining how self-hypnosis can help greatly with our own natural ability to give birth easily.  I now teach other expectant mums and dads the same thing and I thank you Sue, for an excellent course that can not only help parents through the birth itself, but also show them how to learn relaxation and positivity during the weeks afterwards, helping them to cope and bond with their new baby.

"Whether the therapy you practise takes two hours, or two years, its success is determined within the first 30 mins...."

Written and presented by Rob Kelly FIAPH

Course overview:
The aim of this course is to equip you with the knowledge, insight and skills necessary for effective assessment, engagement and motivation to help you create the very best possible relationship and environment for working with your client

This course is divided into three sections;

1) How to run an effective Initial Consultation:
How to assess the nature your client's presenting symptoms, and ascertain their suitability for therapy, while creating the rapport, trust and empathy necessary for a strong therapeutic relationship.

2) Recognising and working with clients with Personality Disorders:
It is generally accepted that people who suffer from personality disorders can find the resolution of anxiety symptoms very difficult - however Pure Hypnoanalysis can be extremely effective in resolving many of these problems.

We will discuss each of the main 'disorders' that clients are likely to consult a therapist with, and look at how these types of personality get formed/created, and how they are likely to react in therapy.

3) Understanding and working with Dissociative
Conditions:

Dissociation is sometimes referred to as 'The Hidden Epidemic', and affects millions of people worldwide. Most 'normal' people have perhaps one or two significant traumatic experiences in their childhood that have had a pathological effect, causing anxiety and depression. People who are dissociative tend to have experienced a very conflicting or traumatic childhood and they have had to develop different coping mechanisms to everyone else..... these 'coping mechanisms' can make life very difficult, even after the threat of trauma has passed...

Who is this course aimed at? - any healthcare professional, therapist, Doctor etc.

Some comments from previous course attendees:

Another excellent course delivered by Rob Kelly.
I believe a lot of therapists neglect the importance of gaining excellent rapport as quickly as possible with a client and a successful therapy can depend on this, whether it be one session or 10 sessions. This is one of Rob's strenghts and he imparts his knowledge of how do do the same in an inspiring way that gives delegates the confidence and belief that they can use the same techniques to achieve the same results. Rob also has tremendous knowledge of how to quickly professionally assess a client whilst still making the client feeling completely at ease and confident in their surroundings. I learned so much from this seminar and the techniques are now cast in stone and used effectively every day.
Jonathan Wootton, Hypnotherapist

As a professional therapist dealing with anxiety and mental health issues it is incredibly important to understand completely who can be treated, who can't be treated (and why) and how to manage clients during the (any) therapeutic process. Rob's demonstrations and lectures about the different personality types and their different strenths, weaknesses and motivations, along with a detailed view on mental disorders and psychosis, will really benefit my day to day work. After the course I feel more equipped dealing with each and every single TYPE of person seeking help for anxieties and symptoms, and therefore (any) therapy will certainly be easier and quicker and more successful for me AND for the client themselves. Rob is a wonderfully dynamic lecturer who enables detailed information to sink in easily. Regardless of whether your therapy involves hypnosis, if you deal with people, you should be on this course...

Some comments from previous course attendees:

'Stevie knows his stuff inside and out and his relaxed, sincere and friendly manner gets it across in a way that leaves you in no doubt about it all. And if you are in any doubt by the end of the day, just volunteer to be stuck by a needle like I did! Stevie's techniques and powerful suggestions proved to me that I could have a needle inserted in the back of my hand with only the mildest of sensations that did not bother me at all. So now with my doubts completely dispelled I can take away everything I learned and experienced at the Pain Management seminar to further help my clients. Highly recommended.'
Beaula Page, Hypnotherapist - Beaula's Website

This very enjoyable day, a great mix of theory and practice, provided me with real skills in Pain Management and, more importantly, the knowledge of how and when to use them effectively and safely. As an added bonus, you get Stevie's Cancer Help Program included in his very detailed information pack. This is a complete guide to helping a client through their illness/treatments but is equally valid as a self-assessment, and potentially life-changing, approach to managing your own health and wellbeing. You win all round with this course.......you add to your skills as a therapist, and, on a personal level, come away with a guide to optimising your own health.

Pure Hypnoanalysis - developed By Rob Kelly FIAPH

Question: What is the Fastest, most Effective and most Liberating type of therapy available today?

Answer: 'Pure' Hypno-analysis

'Pure' Hypno-analysis, is a brief-therapy, that brings together all the most successful hypno-analytical, and psychotherapeutic techniques.

This unique therapy can bring a person to a moment of 'surprising and liberating enlightenment' ridding them of their fears, phobias, anxieties, depression (and any other psychological and emotional symptoms) within about 8 hours.

Sounds unbelievable?
This therapy is NOT; an NLP 'quick fix', some kind of 'fast phobia cure', suggestion therapy, or any one of a hundred or so similar therapies - these techniques DO NOT resolve the cause of the anxiety, they simply cover it up, or give the person a bit more control.

The nearest equivalent to 'pure' Hypnoanalysis, would be a traditional three or four year course of psychotherapy or psychoanalysis - but with better results.

The main reason WHY this therapy is so successful, is because, for the first time, we can understand actually where these emotional disorders come from, and how they are formed.   With this knowledge, it is comparatively easy to help a person come to a state of total resolution of their anxieties/fears.

Probably more amazing than the success of the therapy itself, is the fact that the process of therapy is so simple, and doesn't rely on a whole bag full of 'therapist tricks' - in order for it to work effectively. This therapy merely enhances the 'natural human process' to resolve emotional trauma and conflict - no other intervention is necessary.

To read about Rob Kelly - the guy who developed this technique - and to see him in action, go to www.rob-kelly.net

Whether you a student of psychology, a counsellor, a psychotherapist, a Doctor, a social worker, a policeman, a nurse - these two days will give you a tremendous amount of insight into human nature, and change your life! 'Pure' Hypnoanalysis is the ONLY therapy in the world, that can CURE symptoms such as emetophobia, coprophobia, social phobia, shy bladder.....

We believe that Pure Hypnoanalysis is THE single most effective therapy that exists in the world today!
Learn all the secrets of being a successful hypnoanalyst - In just two days! During this dynamic two-day course, you will be taught not only HOW, but WHY hypno-analysis is such an effective treatment. You will learn how YOU can achieve, in just 6 or 8 sessions, what would normally take about four years in a more traditional psychotherapy AND with more impressive results!

Hypnoanalysis is THE single most effective therapy that exists in the world today for resolving phobias, fears, anxieties, depression, eating disorders, confidence problems, sexual problems in fact ANY symptom that has a psychological component to it. This course is ideally suited to all therapists (or student therapists) who use any form of analytical therapy within their work. How is this course different to any other? Well, it is being presented by a leading expert in Hypno-analysis, someone with over 15 years, and 4000 clients worth of experience - Rob Kelly. Rob will demonstrate ALL the techniques you will ever need to use, AND explain HOW and WHY they work. Resistance, transference, abreaction, repression, regression, denial, false memories, catharsis, neurosis, phobias etc will all be explored and, more importantly, EXPLAINED in a very clear and understandable way. Learn why 'pin-point analysis', 'age regression', 'regression to cause', 'ideomotor signalling' and other 'find the cause' type therapies rarely do actually find the cause... OR resolve the problem!

To practice hypno-analysis successfully, you must first understand why we respond to trauma or emotional conflicts in our lives by creating anxieties, phobias and other symptoms. When you understand how and why these symptoms are created, it is much easier for you to help your clients to resolve them. Some of the knowledge you will gain during this course will include:

  • How and why we repress emotional conflicts.
  • The difference between denial, disavowal, suppression and repression.
  • Why, with certain types of symptoms, CBT, NLP or suggestion therapy are completely ineffective.
  • Why psychiatry's understanding and treatment of phobias is flawed, and usually just exacerbates the problem.
  • Why different people have different types of symptoms.
  • Why some personality types WANT to maintain their symptoms.
  • How to encourage and abreaction: how to enable a client to re-live a traumatic event, in order to resolve the symptoms caused by it.
  • How to treble your client base, AND your income!
  • The best hypnotic inductions to use (and which to not use).
  • Understanding Free Association, creating trust and rapport .
  • Negotiating with the client's subconscious.
  • Debriefing rape or trauma victims.
  • The use of 'Clean' and 'Reflective' language in therapy.

Some comments from previous course attendees:

This course is essential for any therapist setting up in private practice.  The information and advice given is second to none, coming from a therapist with masses of experience who is not afraid of telling you about the pitfalls of private practice as well as teaching you about what works well.  Richard is a natural teacher and this course is informal but very informative, helping those willing to learn, how to gain 30+ clients a week.  Setting up on your own can be quite daunting, I know it was for me, but if you need to know anything at all about setting up a consulting room, advertising and websites, dealing with enquiries and many more aspects of private practice, then Richard is the person to talk to and this is the course to go on.

Some comments from previous course attendees:

I had alwasy wanted to be able to treat children, but none of my previous hypnosis and psychotherapy training courses provided me with the necessary skills. After your course I started treating kids, and I am getting brilliant results - especially with the blowaway technique. I would recommend this course to ANYONE who wants to help kids.
